2019 Game 3

Kelowna Sr Raiders 9, Vernon Sr Tigers 3

Fans at the Rutland Arena last evening got their lacrosse entertainment dose as their Raiders took to the floor pumped for action! The Raiders did not disappoint, beating the visiting Tigers 9 to 3.

The game was fast paced as the Raiders offence controlled match from the opening face-off with loose ball control and slick passing in the Tiger’s zone while their defense shut down the Tigers persistent forwards.
Vernon’s goalie Josh Point stopped 50 shots with an outstanding performance despite losing the match. For the Raiders it was a total team effort with outstanding performances from forwards Cory Seigner and Andrew Garant each with a pair of goals and veteran Chris Phillips controlling face-offs and scoring a goal. Singles were also scored by veteran Pho Heng, rookies Quintin Harrish, Cal Jackson and Tarrin Davies. Scoring for Vernon was Khris Yargeau, Ryan Sarazin and Craig Bigsby each with singles.

The two teams have a rematch in two weeks on May 24 in Vernon.

Raider of the game went to Hammer Andrew Garant with 2g 3a.
