Kelowna Raiders 8, Vernon Tigers 4
The Raiders has a strong showing in their final regular season game at home this year and came away with the victory. In the first frame the Raiders opened the scoring with goals by Tarrin Davies and Darcy Rhodes to make it 2-0. The Tigers responded with two of their own to tie things up after one.
In the second frame the Raiders pulled away with 3 goals. Scoring in the period were Rhodes with his second of the night, Pho Heng and Quinn Johnson-Plant with a beautiful sub shot through a screen to make things 5-2 after two.
The third was evenly matched as the teams traded goals and penalties as there was a little dust up late in the game. Singles by Raiders Chris Phillips, Cory Seinger and Nick Evans and two by the Tigers made the final score 8-4.
The Raiders would like to extend a big thanks to all our fans as we had a great turnout at all of our games in our return to the TOSLL and to Rutland.
The Raiders will be up in Armstrong next Friday the 14th and finish up the regular season in Kamloops on the 21st.
