April 22, 2016 – Raiders Loose Opener in Kamloops

Rattlers 12, Raiders 9.
The Raider’s season opening game ended on the wrong end of the scoresheet as the Kamloops Rattlers kept the scoring edge all evening and did not allow Kelowna to snatch the lead after a one all tie after the first. The Raiders brought the game within one a couple of times but undisciplined penalties in the second period made it very difficult to stage any comeback.
Kamloops AJ Lockwood was on fire with 5 goals, JJ Woldum, Nathan Woldum and Riley Donahue each with pairs and a single from Russ McIntosh rounded out the scoring. For Kelowna, rookie Ryan Lindstrom and veteran Joe brown each had hat tricks, Cody Evans had a pair and a single was added by Vic Wiens.
Kelowna hosts the Armstrong Shamrocks next Friday, April 29 at the Kelowna Memorial for their season home opener.
